Welcome to the magical world of artist Mauritz Verlinden!

In Mauritz Verlinden’s exhibition at Be-Part Waregem, you step into a slowly evolving universe of drawings, fabrics, embroidery, and sculptures. Verlinden works with patience and intention: he draws, embroiders, and sculpts with a quiet focus, as if every thread and every line carries its own story. His work opens the door to a vibrant, magical world.

A workshop filled with imagination, colour, rhythm, and wonder

At the centre stands Lyr Morizai, a mythical, magical figure who enchants the world around them through rituals, sound, and shape. Lyr teaches us that creating is, in its own way, a form of magic.

During the workshop, children get to experiment with all kinds of handcraft techniques. We work with ribbons, scraps of fabric, thread, and colour, and we tell stories about winding air currents shaped through sound and form. Together, we build a world of stories where imagination, music, and movement meet—drawing inspiration from the marvellous universe of Mauritz Verlinden.

Come visit with your class and discover the magic of making!
