Lisa Koo Gautama is a young artist, writer, director and performer with Indochinese roots, working and living in Belgium. Her poetry, visual work, handmade books and performances are described as tender, magical and enchanting. She creates a quiet world, full of wonder, touching upon themes like caring for the people and nature we tend to forget about, grief and the search for the quiet child within. Passionate about how dance and theater bring people from all sorts of backgrounds together, she sees the stage as a meeting point, a playful place for community life.
On Sunday August 30, she will bring a poetic performance for children and adults, with puppetry, storytelling, live music and visual art. Accompanied by a team of musicians, by musician Jullian De Pestel and her dearest, creative family, she will take the audience along into a story about sheltering, goodbyes and quiet beginnings.
This event is part of the programme of the REFUGE pavilion.
