Portrait Arpais

Arpaïs Du Bois (Ghent, 1973) lives and works in Antwerp. She studied fine arts at Sint Lucas Antwerp, where she has also been teaching since 2003. A significant part of her oeuvre consists of her drawing books, where she continuously sketches, blending image and language in an intimate way.

In the exhibition Dans la chambre à murmures at Be-Part, she brings together her signature layered and poetic diary drawings with new sculptural works and an auditory experience.

Dans la chambre à murmures is on view until December 15 at Be-Part Waregem.

Ilke Cop (1988, Merksem) has a background in art history and, in recent years, has established herself as a self-taught painter. Her work is characterized by bold and critical visual collages, blending art historical, allegorical, and autobiographical motifs—including self-portraits.

In Once in a Blue Shroom at cc De Schakel, the artist explores the universe of mushrooms through her recent work, acting as the creator of a new world within a post-apocalyptic landscape.

Once in a Blue Shroom can be visited until November 3 in the foyer of cc De Schakel.
